Universal’s London 2012 Deal

Universal

Universal Music says it hasn’t ruled out Amy Winehouse opening the London Olympics in 2012.
In an interview with 6 Music Marc Robinson, director of film and music, claimed any of Universal’s artists could feature and there’s been a great deal of interest already from some acts.

“I think every artist is keen to get involved in these events, obviously they (Olympic commitee) are going to have a strong vision of what they want in their ceremonies so it’s up to us to assist them with what they can do musically,” he said.

It’s the first partnership of its kind by an Olympic organiser.
